I just wanna say that the subtitle, “The Original,” sounds defensive. Hahaha! No, I am not bashing the Taiwanese Hana Kimi, I happen to like the show as well. In fact, I really LOVE Jiro Wang. Haha! Really, I do! He’s so cute in his own way… and funny, and talented, and more. I love Wu Chun because he’s hot. The show’s SUPER FUNNY. I’m happy ABS got the Taiwanese version while GMA got the Jap one. I’d be disappointed if it’s the other way around. I’m also glad that they have different time slots. At least, everyone can watch both shows and not have to fight over it. I mean, why do we have to decide to like one more than the other when we can watch and LOVE both? I watched both today and I really enjoyed myself. So why don’t we all do that?

Comment by ana April 6, 2008 @ 11:27 amABS CBN is only saying its the original version mainly because we’re talking about original adaptation here… Taiwan made the first move to produce, air, and popularize hana kimi to the viewing majority (let’s admit the fact that not everyone reads manga); and that’s regardless where they got the story from, whether it’s from a japanese manga or just some english/filipino comic book- it shouldn’t matter. i mean, look around you- there are a lot of films adapted from books or novels (esp in US) but those films weren’t tagged as copycats bec creating live action flicks adapted from comic books (or any published written story for that matter) is still considered original in the sense that they were the first to make a movie out of that story. Making a film and publishing a written story (e.g. comic books, novels etc) are totally 2 diff things. If someone tries to publish the same story out of a previously published book (or create a diff version for that matter), now that’s what you consider copying, same goes with creating a film/ drama; if someone tries to make a new version out of a previously created film, that- you can consider the 2nd version and DEFINITELY NOT the original.
It doesnt necessarily mean that bec the story was adapted from a japanese manga, the Hana Kimi version aired by FujiTV japan was the original version ( its obvious where they got this logic from- its bec the manga is japan made). Let’s not forget the fact that the MAIN reason Fuji TV japan did their own version was bec the HANA Kimi produced and first aired by CTS and GTV Taiwan has gotten so popular and the ratings for HanaKimi were so high that television channels in Japan and South Korea dished out over 30,000,000 NTD for the rights to broadcast the drama (cite referencedOtcom). Now, that fact alone only proves that Japan’s Hana Kimi (tv drama) is not the original drama version…
Well, if by any chance (this is only a hypothetical example)- Taiwan decides to publish their own HanaKimi comic book or “manga”, that is clearly copying bec Japan already had it first ages ago; and i would definitely side japan by then if that happens.
Hope everyone now understands why Taiwan’s drama version is considered the original.

Comment by marj April 8, 2008 @ 3:35 amewan ko kung bakit kayo masyado obsessed or what sa mga stations nyo… one thing for sure pag namatay kayo dahil sa kanila di nila kayo sagutin “Sino ba Kayo??” (sad to say but true) madami kasing may gusto sa ABS at mostly daw mga bakla at maids lang ang mga mahilig dito… at sa GMA mga bastos at stupid daw. im trying to look both sides im not pro GMA or ABS… speaking of mangagaya….please look on the cable channels im sure both GMA and ABS ay kumuha ng idea thru cable so means pareho silang gumagaya lang.. at nag franchise lang ng show sa ibang bansa what i want for those two is yung originality nila kahit sana low budget ang pagkakagawa at least original creations. hindi lang abs at gma ang local channel dito sa pinas try to appreciate others im sure every one of them is trying hard to give us nice tv programs…

i like the shows of abs-cbn a lot especially hana-kimi the original. it makes me laugh and gives a lot of kilig. very funny. it made my day complete. the dubbers perfectly dubbed their voices as if the original voice of the characters like wu chun, ella and jiro wang. i would always like to look forward on seeing beautiful and nice asian novelas in the future. i hope they will have romantic princess and tokyo juliet this year. sana ang abs-cbn ang makakuha ng teleserye na ito. these are great novelas too. and whatever happens, i am an avid kapamilya!!!solid na solid kami dito sa cagayan whether sa cable man or antennae. kahit malakas ang signal ng GMA dito, but wala sa amin yun. Always be an ABS-CBN fan. In fairness to GMA, minsan lang sila nagkaroon ng nice shows. They even replayed meteor garden, na pinagsawaaan na namin sa ABS.They don’t need to replay another film already shown at ABS just to get an audience… Di bagay sa inyo no.. just accept na kapuso lang kayo. At mas malaks ang kapamilya. I love you, ABS-CBN.

It gives hope to those who are hopeless romantic indiviuals kasi it’s very unique. sana my sequel pa. and i hope to see the replay on saturdays at sana hindi papalation ngf regional networks. Sometimes, it is very irritating to know na dito sa CDO hana-kimi was aired every morning instead of the normal scedule at minsan napuputol pa para habulin ang BOY and Kris…. please advise nyo naman ang regional networks na hwag bibitinin ang audience.. But still, thanks to ABS for a good hana-kimi story… Solid kapamilya.for life!!!
